Domestic sugar prices were stable to weak
Due to weak demand at higher prices, domestic sugar prices were reported to be stable to weak in the major centers. The demand is very low, according to local sources, which is driving up prices.
The price range for S-grade sugar in Muzaffarnagar was Rs 3,940-3,990 per quintal, while in Kolhapur it was Rs 3,650–3,690. Over the next two weeks, Agrimandi anticipates that the price of S grade sugar in the Kolhapur market will fluctuate between Rs 3,600 and Rs 3,750 per quintal.

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $520.80 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 18.30 c/lb.

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 83.952 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.6332, Crude futures traded at ₹6335, Crude WTI traded at $75.37 barrel. Sensex closed 581.79 points lower at 78886.22 whereas Nifty closed 197.00 points lower at 24100.50
