The equity benchmark indices ended higher on Friday.
Sensex ended 819.69 points higher at 79,705.91, whereas Nifty concluded 250.50 points up at 24,367.50.
Eicher Motors, ONGC, Tech Mahindra, Tata Motors and Shriram Finance were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were BPCL, HDFC Life, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Divi’s Labs and Sun Pharma.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 581.79 points lower at 78,886.22, whereas Nifty concluded 180.50 points down at 24,117.00.
