Munderwa sugar mill clears all cane dues of farmers

Munderwa, Uttar Pradesh: In line with the government’s directives, the management of Munderwa Sugar Mill has fully disbursed all outstanding payments to sugarcane farmers, reports Live Hindustan.

During the crushing season, the mill had procured 36 lakh quintals of sugarcane. The total payment due to the farmers was Rs 109.95 crore. Of this, Rs 104.1 crore was already paid a week prior, covering payments up to March 3.

This information was shared by Vijayendra Dwivedi, the General Manager of Munderwa Sugar Mill, during the inauguration of a sugarcane nursery project in Kabra and Dhaurahra Gochna, located in the Bankati Block, on Friday. Dwivedi announced that the remaining Rs 5.85 crore has also been released to the farmers.

CCM Kuldeep Dwivedi mentioned that farmers can contact the mill for fertilizers and other essential materials needed to prepare the nursery. Deputy General Managers OP Pandey, Upendra Kumar, NP Verma, KM Pandey, Uddhav Prasad, Umesh Singh, and Mahendra Verma were also present during the event.
