Hapur: Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) Bhanu leaders met the Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and demanded the payment of pending cane dues with interest, reports the Live Hindustan.
National General Secretary of BKU Bhanu, Sanjeev Yadav, and Manoj Gurjar visited the state capital, Lucknow, where they held discussions with the Deputy Chief Minister. During their visit, they also met with Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Minister Rakesh Singh, and MLA Ashok Kori at the Deputy CM’s residence.
Sanjeev Yadav stated that the primary focus of the meeting was on ensuring that farmers receive their outstanding sugarcane payments with interest. Additionally, they requested that the upcoming sugarcane crushing season be initiated by October.
In response, the Deputy Chief Minister and the Transport Minister assured the leaders that these legitimate demands would be addressed promptly and personally committed to visiting the Garh region soon.
