Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh: The District Magistrate, Umesh Mishra, has assured the people of Kaptanganj that the Kaptanganj sugar mill be restarted, reports Live Hindustan.
While answering questions from farmers at a farmers’ day meeting, the DM assured that restarting the Kaptanganj sugar mill is a priority for the district administration. In a meeting on Wednesday, the DM assured all the farmers about the Kaptanganj sugar mill that no farmer would suffer any loss and that his priority is to restart the mill. Directing all the officers, he said that the problems of the farmers should be resolved immediately on a priority basis.
The Kaptanganj sugar mill has been closed for about two years. Under pressure from the district administration, the mill management has also started paying the arrears to the farmers.
