Bihar: Ethanol production work to begin at Sugauli sugar mill in 2025

Motihari, Bihar: A training camp for sugarcane farmers was held on Tuesday under the aegis of Sugauli sugar mill. The event, organized by the Sugarcane Industry Department, focused on enhancing sugarcane yield per acre.

As per news report by Live Hindustan, Vijay Kumar Dixit, General Manager of Sugauli sugar mill, emphasized the importance of soil testing. He also announced that ethanol production work at the mill is set to commence in July 2025.

Agricultural scientists from Rajendra Agricultural University, Pusa, including Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Dr. Satish Chandra Narayan, and Assistant Agricultural Scientist Pawan Kishore Das, shared their expertise on modern sugarcane cultivation techniques.

The training camp saw participation from nearly 200 farmers. Among those present were former Mukhiya Yogendra Singh, former Mukhiya Surendra Kumar Singh, Satish Singh, Arvind Kumar Chaudhuri, Guddu Singh, Virendra Prasad, Rahul Tiwari, Dilip Gupta, Pradeep Gupta, Akhilesh Pandey, Sushil Singh, Arun Singh, and Ajay Singh, among others.

The event also featured insights from Deputy General Manager Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Deputy Cane Manager Sanjeev Kumar, and Cane Officers Santosh Kumar Tiwari, Abhay Pandey, and Vinay Kumar, who provided valuable information on effective farming practices.
