Purniya, Bihar: Dr Anil Kumar Gupta, a well-known surgeon and BJP worker, met Union Textile Minister Giriraj Singh and highlighted the impact of the closure of the Banmankhi Sugar mill on the economy of Seemanchal region, reports Prabhat Khabar.
Dr Gupta also spoke about the significance of the Banmankhi Sugar Mill, stating that when the mill was operational, it supported the livelihoods of farmers and workers across Purnia, Seemanchal, and Kosi. However, since the mill’s closure, the economic situation of the local community has worsened. He stressed that reopening the sugar mill would greatly benefit the area’s farmers and workers.
Dr. Gupta said that the Union Minister has assured him to look into his issues and take meaningful initiatives.
