Domestic Market

Domestic sugar prices show a steady to weak sentiment.

After remaining stable for 2-3 sessions, domestic sugar prices resumed their downward trend due to weak demand. Prices in Uttar Pradesh were reported to be Rs 20 lower per quintal, while Kolhapur was said to be stable. Although prices have been falling for the past month, buyers are hesitant to buy because crushing is expected to begin within the next month or two.

M-grade sugar is priced between Rs 3,760 and Rs 3,800 per quintal in Muzaffarnagar, while S-grade is priced between Rs 3,585 and Rs 3,635 in Kolhapur. Agrimandi forecasts that S-grade sugar prices in Kolhapur will fall between Rs 3,530 and Rs 3,660 per quintal in the coming days.
