Bihar’s 40 sugarcane farmers embark on a training trip to Uttar Pradesh

East Champaran: A group of 40 farmers from East Champaran district left for the Sugarcane Research Institute in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh on Monday. This trip is part of the Chief Minister’s Sugarcane Development Scheme 2024-25, reports Hindustan Samachar.

The group includes 10 farmers each from Sugauli, Majhaulia, Sindhvalia, and Gopalganj units.

For the next seven days, the farmers will stay at the Sugarcane Research Council in Shahjahanpur, where they will learn about modern sugarcane farming techniques. Providing details, Sanjeev Kumar, Deputy General Manager of Sugouli Sugar Unit, mentioned that the group also includes officials from the sugar mills, such as Amarendra Singh from Gopalganj, Karan from Sindhvalia, Sudhir Mishra from Majholia, and Vinay Kumar Singh from HPCL Sugouli.
