MP Malik supports farmers’ demand for full payment of cane dues

Shamli, Uttar Pradesh: Samajwadi Party MP Harendra Malik has supported the farmers’ ongoing agitation demanding full payment of pending cane dues, reports Amar Ujala. The indefinite hunger protest organised by the Sarvakhap Coordination Farmer Fourm entered on the 14th day when he met them. Malik assured the farmers that he stood with them and encouraged them to continue their fight peacefully.

The protest took place at the Shamli Sugarcane Cooperative Office, where several farmers, including Kanwarpal, Devaraj Jatrana, Bittu, Rampal Singh, and Bheem Singh, participated in the hunger strike. Malik highlighted the difficulties farmers are facing due to delayed payments and pledged that they would receive support.

Other farmers present at the protest included Master Sanjeev Silawar, Vikram, Jitendra, Surendra Arya, Sudhir, Satyaprakash, Babu Ram, Sanjay, Dharmbir Singh, Devendra, and Shamshad. The protest was led by Chaudhary Karan Singh, with Sanjeev Pradhan Simbalka overseeing the event.
