Indian equity indices ended higher on Thursday.
Sensex ended 666.25 points higher at 85,836.12, whereas Nifty concluded 211.90 points up at 26,216.05.
Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, Shriram Finance, Grasim Industries and M&M were among the major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were ONGC, Cipla, NTPC, Hero MotoCorp, L&T.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 255.83 points higher at 85,169.87, whereas Nifty concluded 63.75 points up at 26,004.15.
