Shahzadpur sugar mill will be reconstructed: Amit Shah in Haryana

Senior leader of BJP and Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah addressed public meetings in Rewari, Ambala and Kurukshetra in Haryana on Friday.

Union Minister stated the Shahzadpur sugar mill will be reconstructed, and airport development will be expedited.

He then highlighted the significant initiatives under BJP governance, such as the construction of a museum in Peepli, a road from Pehowa to Kurukshetra, and the commencement of the ₹12,000 crore, 61-km Yamuna Nagar-Karnal railway line. Furthermore, 138 new ration depots were established, a ₹27 crore Ladwa-Kurukshetra-Pehowa state highway was constructed, and a ₹99 crore ethanol plant was set up at the Shahabad government sugar mill.

He remarked that the Sonia-Manmohan UPA government purchased less than half the amount of wheat and paddy in their 10 years compared to the BJP government. Farmers referred to the Hooda government as the ‘Do Rupaye Muawaje’ government because they received only a ₹2 cheque in compensation when their crops failed due to untimely rains. The BJP has significantly increased compensation for farmers compared to the Congress government.

Shah stated that during the heavy rainfall, compensation worth ₹134 crore was sent to 49,000 farmers through direct bank transfers. The creamy layer income limit was raised from ₹6 lakh to ₹8 lakh, excluding agricultural and salary income, benefiting the OBC and backward classes. In Pinjor, the Saini government established the largest fruit and vegetable market, and Haryana became the first state to declare 10 new crops under MSP, committing to purchasing these crops for farmers.
