Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Wednesday.
Sensex ended 167.71 points lower at 81,467.10, whereas Nifty concluded 31.20 points down at 24,981.95.
Top Nifty losers were ITC, Nestle, Reliance Industries, ONGC, HUL, while gainers included Trent, Cipla, Tata Motors, SBI and Maruti Suzuki.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 584.81 points higher at 81,634.81, whereas Nifty concluded 217.40 points up at 25,013.15.
Indian rupee ended flat at 83.96 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 83.96.
