Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Friday.
Sensex ended 230.05 points down at 81,381.36, whereas Nifty concluded 34.20 points lower at 24,964.25.
Top losers on the Nifty included M&M, TCS, ICICI Bank, Cipla and Power Grid Corp, while gainers were Trent, Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and ONGC.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 144.30 points up at 81,611.41, whereas Nifty concluded 16.50 points higher at 24,998.45.
Indian rupee slipped 10 paise to close at fresh record low at 84.07 per dollar on Friday versus Thursday’s close of 83.97.
