Bareilly: DM warns action against mill over delay in clearing cane dues

Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh: Farmers raised the issue of pending cane dues on the occasion of the Farmers event that was held at the auditorium of Vikas Bhawan in Bareilly on Wednesday.

The farmers expressed their frustration, particularly regarding Baheri Sugar Mill, which had promised to make payments to sugarcane farmers in October. Several farmers complained about not receiving their dues.

According to the news report by Amar Ujala, District Magistrate Ravindra Kumar expressed his displeasure and warned that if Rs 40 crore is not paid this month, an FIR will be lodged against the sugar mill officials on behalf of the farmers and they will be sent to jail.
