Satyukt Analytics has been announced as the Smart Farm Grant Challenge (SFGC) program winner, organised by the Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), an organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. The company won the prestigious grant prize of Rs 50 lakh for its innovative solution aimed at improving the efficiency of sugarcane harvesting.
The award ceremony took place in New Delhi, with S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT, attending as the chief guest.
The SFGC. The program, launched by STPI, seeks to promote new ideas that enhance sugarcane harvesting methods. This year’s competition attracted 474 entries, highlighting the level of talent and innovation among participants. The judging process focused on solutions that could predict the best harvest time, estimate sugar content, identify mature plots, and provide easy-to-understand insights.
Out of 474 submissions, an expert panel pre-screened 108 applications, shortlisted 25 start-ups for pitch presentations and selected the top 10, each receiving a grant of Rs 5 lakh to build a working prototype. From these, the top four were chosen for additional product development grants of Rs 20 lakh each. After a thorough evaluation, Satyukt Analytics was declared the overall winner, securing a grant of Rs 50 lakh for the first year and Rs 10 lakh annually for the next two years to support the operation and maintenance of its solution.
“We are honoured to be recognized by STPI for our work in transforming sugarcane harvesting,” said Dr. Sat Kumar Tomer, Founder and CEO of Satyukt Analytics. “This award reflects our commitment to boosting agricultural productivity and sustainability through technological advancements.”
