Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Monday amid high volatility.
Sensex ended 73.48 points down at 81,151.27, whereas Nifty concluded 72.95 points lower at 24,781.10.
Biggest Nifty losers were Tata Consumer Products, Kotak Mahindra Bank, BPCL, IndusInd Bank and Bajaj Finserv, while gainers included HDFC Bank, Bajaj Auto, Asian Paints, M&M and Eicher Motors.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 218.14 points up at 81,224.75, whereas Nifty concluded 104.20 points higher at 24,854.05.
Indian rupee ended flat at 84.06 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 84.07.
