Indian benchmark indices ended lower on Wednesday.
Sensex ended 138.74 points down at 80,081.98, whereas Nifty concluded 36.60 points lower at 24,435.50.
Bajaj Finance, Bajaj Auto, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, Tata Consumer were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included M&M, Sun Pharma, NTPC, Power Grid Corp and Shriram Finance.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 930.55 points down at 80,220.72, whereas Nifty concluded 309.00 points lower at 24,472.10.
Indian rupee ended near record low at 84.08 per dollar Wednesday on versus Tuesday’s close of 84.07.
