Indian benchmark indices ended on higher note on Tuesday.
Sensex ended 363.99 points up at 80,369.03, whereas Nifty concluded 127.70 points higher at 24,466.85.
SBI, Bharat Electronics, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life, ICICI Bank were among the top gainers on the Nifty, while losers included Tata Motors, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Maruti Suzuki, Hero MotoCorp and Bajaj Auto.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 602.75 points up at 80,005.04, whereas Nifty concluded 158.35 points higher at 24,339.15.
Indian rupee ended flat at 84.07 per dollar on Tuesday versus Monday’s close of 84.07.
