Indian benchmark indices ended on higher note on Wednesday.
Sensex ended 901.50 points higher at 80,378.13, whereas Nifty concluded 273.05 points up at 24,486.35.
Biggest gainers on the Nifty were Bharat Electronics, Adani Enterprises, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Infosys, while losers included SBI Life Insurance, Titan Company, IndusInd Bank, HDFC Life and HUL.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 694.39 points higher at 79,476.63, whereas Nifty concluded 217.95 points up at 24,213.30.
Indian rupee ended at fresh record low at 84.28 per dollar on Wednesday versus Tuesday’s close of 84.10.
