Uttam Sugar Mills commissions increased cane crushing capacity at Khaikheri Unit

Uttam Sugar Mills Limited has successfully completed the expansion of its cane crushing capacity at the Khaikheri unit, increasing its capacity from 4,700 tonnes per day (TCD) to 5,500 TCD.

The company informed exchange, “With reference to our earlier communication vide our letter dt. 14th August, 2024, regarding increase/enhancement in the “cane crushing capacity’ from 4700 TCD to 5500 TCD at Khaikheri Unit of the company with improvement in energy efficiency, we would like to inform that aforesaid increase/enhancement in the “cane crushing capacity’ alongwith energy efficiency has been successfully commissioned.”

The company, which operates several sugar mills, confirmed that all four of its units have commenced crushing operations for the 2024-25 sugar season. In addition to the enhanced Khaikheri unit, Uttam Sugar’s total cane crushing capacity now stands at 27,000 TCD across its four units.
