Bajaj Energy and LPGCL’s CSR programs undertaken by Bajaj Foundation win prestigious CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2024

Bajaj Energy’s CSR arm, Bajaj Foundation, along with Lalitpur Power Generation Company, is honoured as ‘winners’ for 2 case studies at the CII National Award for Excellence in Water Management 2024. The recognition came as a special one since LPGCL was among the very few industries who were given the opportunity to present the holistic approach of their successful initiatives in front of the audience highlighting the Foundation’s impactful initiatives in water resource development and management, sustainable agricultural practices, and rural development, solidifying Bajaj Group’s commitment to a sustainable and water-resilient future.

The award was presented by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to Lalitpur Power Generation Company Ltd. (LPGCL) in the esteemed “Beyond the Fence” category for its outstanding work in Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Livelihood Development. This accolade acknowledges the Foundation’s successful water resource initiatives in Wardha and Lalitpur, fostering growth and self-reliance in the surrounding communities. P. K. Singh from LPGCL-EHS department and Shri Rajendra Singh Khatediya from Bajaj Foundation-Lalitpur proudly accepted the award on behalf of the team.

In addition to the recognition for LPGCL, Bajaj Energy’s CSR work, driven by the Jamnalal Kaniram Bajaj Trust (JKBT) in Sikar, Rajasthan was also celebrated as a Noteworthy Project in Water Management within the “Beyond the Fence” category. Through water recharge and harvesting structures, the Sikar CSR initiative has empowered communities to better manage water resources and bolster sustainable practices, reinforcing Bajaj Foundation’s mission to create enduring, positive impact. Shri Deobrat Singh of Bajaj Foundation’s JKBT, Sikar, received the honor on behalf of the dedicated team.
