Nizamabad: In a push to boost sugarcane cultivation, senior MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy has called on farmers to grow the crop on a large scale, citing the state government’s commitment to reopening the Nizam Sugar Factory (NSF) soon.
He assured farmers that the factory’s revival is a priority for the government, which is steadily working to fulfil its election promises.
The Bodhan MLA spoke on Sunday after laying the foundation stones for gram panchayat buildings in Renjal mandal. He also handed over cheques under the Kalyana Laxmi and Shaadi Mubarak schemes to beneficiaries at Renjal Rythu Vedika.
Addressing the meeting, Sudarshan Reddy thanked the farmers for their patience given the delay in crop loan waiver. However, he attributed the issue to technical glitches and asserted that the problem would be solved.
