The sugarcane crushing season at all four sugar mills in Bulandshahr district is progressing without any major disruptions. Compared to previous years, the recovery rate at the mills is slightly lower this year. The recovery rate typically fluctuates from year to year. So far, the mills have purchased over 120.23 lakh quintals of sugarcane, of which 119.81 lakh quintals have been crushed. Among the mills, the highest recovery rate of 10.34% is reported at the Agauta mill. Sugarcane continues to arrive at the mills, and crushing operations are ongoing.
The Triveni Sugar Mill in Saibgarh is leading in terms of crushing volume. The district is home to four major mills: Wave Sugar Mill in Bulandshahr city, Anamika in Agauta, Triveni in Saibgarh, and the Kisan Co-operative Sugar Mill in Anupshahr. According to the Cane Department, the crushing season is running smoothly across all mills.
Looking at the crushing data, Anamika has crushed 28.75 lakh quintals, Saibgarh has processed 54.57 lakh quintals, Wave Mill has crushed 21.44 lakh quintals, and the Cooperative Mill has processed 15.05 lakh quintals of sugarcane. In total, these four mills have purchased over 120.23 lakh quintals of sugarcane so far.
The District Cane Officer (DCO) reported that the mills have purchased sugarcane worth 439.09 lakh rupees and have made payments totaling 335.39 lakh rupees.
As the season continues, stakeholders remain optimistic about the timely completion of crushing operations.
