Sensex, Nifty end marginally higher after volatile session

Indian equity markets ended marginally higher on February 17 amid volatility.

Sensex ended 57.65 points higher at 75,996.86, whereas Nifty concluded 30.25 points up at 22,959.50.

Bajaj Finserv, Adani Enterprises, Power Grid Corp, IndusInd Bank and Shriram Finance were among top gainers on the Nifty, while losers were M&M, Bharti Airtel, Wipro, TCS, Infosys.

In the previous season, Sensex closed at 75,939.21 points, down 199.76 points or 0.26 per cent, while Nifty closed at 22,929.25 points, down 102.15 points or 0.44 per cent.

Indian rupee ended marginally lower at 86.87 per dollar on Monday versus Friday’s close of 86.83.
