ChiniMandi, the largest news and networking portal catering to the sugar, bioenergy and allied industries today presented a ‘White Paper’ titled ‘Roadmap for Growth of Sugar, BioEnergy and Allied Industries’ to the Hon’ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Shri Nitin Gadkari at his residence. The Minister has assured that he will study the document and take necessary measures to help the industry grow further.
The ‘White Paper’ is based on the brainstorming sessions, discussions and views that emerged at the recently concluded 4th Edition of Sugar-Ethanol & BioEnergy India Conference 2025 (SEIC 2025) by ChiniMandi held in New Delhi on 30th and 31st January 2025. The Conference was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Nitin Gadkari, who addressed the gathering and said that the future of this industry is good.
The document is divided into two broad sections- (i) Key challenges confronting the sugar, bioenergy and allied industries and (ii) Recommendations to the Government to overcome these hurdles and challenges.

Shri Ashwini Srivastav, Joint Secretary (Sugar, DFPD), who was present at the inauguration of SEIC 2025, was given the White Paper for recommended action.

SEIC 2025:
The country’s biggest sugar and bioenergy conference, SEIC 2025, was held by ChiniMandi in New Delhi on 31st January. The two-day event in the national capital set the tone for the sugar and ethanol industry in the new year and laid a clear vision for the industry in the current and upcoming seasons.
The Conference saw an attendance of 600+ from a wide array of fields- Union Ministers, Senior Government officials, representatives from sugar, ethanol and allied industries, OMCs, grain-based distilleries, Associations, Research Institutes, international and domestic traders, agriculturists, scientists, suppliers, etc.
