DCM Shriram commissions 12 TPD Compressed Biogas plant at Ajbapur Unit

DCM Shriram Limited announced the commissioning of its new Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at its Ajbapur Unit.

In a regulatory filing, the company informed that the CBG plant has been commissioned on 27th March 2025 at 9.00 am and the commercial production has commenced. CBG is a value add to the byproduct of Sugar Process. It is an environmentally friendly renewable fuel that helps in reducing the greenhouse gas emissions and lower dependence on fossil fuels. While adding to the revenue stream of the Company, this will also align with the Company’s commitment to sustainability.

DCM Shriram had previously informed the exchange that the Board of Directors had approved the proposal to set up a 12 TPD integrated Compressed Biogas (CBG) plant at the Ajbapur Unit, with an investment of Rs. 131.30 crore.

It has value-added business- Fenesta Building Systems makes UPVC and Aluminium.
