Indian benchmark indices ended on a negative note on April 09.
Sensex ended 379.93 points lower at 73,847.15, whereas Nifty concluded 136.70 points down at 22,399.15.
Wipro, SBI, Tech Mahindra, L&T, Trent were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers included Nestle, HUL, Tata Consumer, Titan Company, Power Grid Corp.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,089.18 points up at 1,089.18, whereas Nifty concluded 374.25 points down at 22,535.85.
Indian rupee ended 45 paise lower at 86.69 per dollar on Wednesday versus previous close of 86.24
