Pramod Upadhyay appointed as new sugarcane commissioner of Uttar Pradesh

In a major late-night administrative reshuffle on Monday, the Yogi Adityanath-led Uttar Pradesh government transferred nine IAS officers, including several top officials, bringing notable changes to the bureaucratic structure in key departments. The reshuffle includes appointments in crucial sectors such as welfare, food and civil supplies, sugarcane department cooperative societies, and rural development.

An IAS officer of 2009-batch, Pramod Kumar Upadhyay, Secretary, UP Real Estate Regulatory Authority (UP RERA), has been transferred as Cane Commissioner, replacing Prabhu Narayan Singh, a 2007-batch an IAS officer, who has now been waitlisted.

Among the other major changes, Bhupendra S. Chaudhary, an IAS officer of 2009-batch, Secretary in the Public Works Department (PWD), will be the Commissioner of Food & Civil Supplies Department.
