Indian benchmark indices ended on a strong note on April 21 powered by strong earnings and sustained buying across sectors.
Sensex ended 855.30 points up at 79,408.50, whereas Nifty concluded 273.90 points higher at 24,125.55.
Among the top gainers on the Sensex were Tech Mahindra, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, Infosys, State Bank of India, and IndusInd Bank. On the other hand, Adani Ports, ITC, Bharti Airtel, Titan, Hindustan Unilever, and Sun Pharma were among the notable laggards.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,508.91 points up at 78,553.20, whereas Nifty concluded 414.45 points higher at 23,851.65.
