Domestic Market
Domestic sugar prices were reported stable
Prices for sugar in the major domestic markets were reported to be stable after a weak session. Demand is said to be weak especially from bulk buyers which is weighing on the prices. Despite the lower production and lower monthly quota, subdued demand is keeping prices in a broader range over the last two months.
S-grade sugar costs between Rs 3,760 and Rs 3,810 per quintal in Kolhapur and M-grade sugar ranges between Rs 4,000 and Rs 4,080 in Muzaffarnagar.
