Mumbai: Sensex on 16th August 2019 was trading 248.25 points lower at 37,063.28 at 9:30 am. On the other hand, the NSE Nifty fell 67.45 points at 10,961.95.
Yes Bank, ONGC, ITC, Bajaj Finance and HUL were among the top gainers rising up to 1.37 per cent.
Vedanta, HCL Tech, TCS, Bharti Airtel, Tata Steel, Tata Motors, TechM, SBI and Infosys, were among the top losers falling up to 2.63 per cent.
On the currency front, the Indian rupee depreciated 16 paise to 71.43 against the US dollar.
The global oil benchmark Brent crude futures were trading 0.86 per cent higher at 58.73 per barrel.
