New Delhi: Soon, you can expect the doorstep delivery of petrol. The state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) are planning to enlarge doorstep delivery of diesel to 20 more cities. Along with this, they are also aiming to launch home delivery of petrol by the next quarter.
By the end of this financial year (FY20), OMCs plan to have at least 500 doorstep fuel delivery vehicles.
As of now, companies only have clearance for diesel doorstep delivery. HPCL Chairman and Managing Director M K Surana while interacting with media last week said Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO) is expected to give clearance for petrol soon.
As per the official data, doorstep delivery of diesel is currently available in 35 cities. Once the doorstep delivery of begins, it will give relief to the consumers.
