Pune: Vasantdada Sugar Institute (VSI) is all set to organise a one day workshop on “Use of sugar, sugarcane juice, syrup and B-heavy molasses for enhancement of fuel ethanol production and recent Advances” for Chief Chemist and Distillery Manager in Pune on August 28, 2019. To deliberate on Ethanol issues and to create more awareness, it is jointly organized by VSI and MRSSK Sangh Ltd.
Two hundred delegates from sugar mills and distilleries from Maharashtra, Karnataka and Gujarat are likely to participate in this workshop.
The programme commencing on August 28 will feature talks by experts on important aspects of the sugar industry. Also, there will be an emphasis on the issue of reusing the sugar in stock for Ethanol production.
There will be 5 or 6 presentations on various issues and the latest advances which will be followed by an interactive session where all participants can raise their doubts and suggestions.
1. The registration for VSI member distillers will be free (for three participants only).
2. The registration fees for non- member distilleries will be Rs. 1500 per participants.
The tentative schedule of the sugar workshop will be 10.00 am to 16.00 pm, including lunch and tea.
