Dhule: In a tragic incident at least 13 workers lost their lives and 58 injured after huge fire and blast caused due to multiple gas cylinders exploding at a chemical factory in Maharashtra’s Dhule district on Agust 31.
The explosion occurred around 9:45 am. According to the reports, when an incident took place, then around 100 workers were present in the factory. After the blast, the surrounding area is covered by smoke. Fire brigade, disaster management along with the local police, were conducting rescue operations at the location. Guardian Minister, Collector, SP is on the spot. SDRF team reached too, and now the fire is under control.
CM Devendra Fadnavis expressed grief over the loss of lives in an explosion at a chemical factory near Shirpur in Dhule district. In a tweet, Maharashtra Chief Minister announced Rs 5 lakh to the kin of deceased.
Home Minister Amit Shah expressed anguish over the incident. In a tweet, he said, “Anguished to learn about the loss of lives due to explosion at a chemical factory in Dhule, Maharashtra. Have spoken to CM @Dev_Fadnavis, state govt is doing everything possible to assist the people in need. My condolences with the bereaved families. May injured recover soon.”
