Mumbai: Sensex closed on 7th October 2019 at 141.33 points lower at 37,531.98. Similarly, Nifty too ended 48.35 points down at 11,126.40.
Top losers on the Nifty included BPCL, Cipla, Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement and JSW Steel, while Yes Bank, Zee Entertainment, Britannia Industries, ICICI Bank and Nestle India were among the gainers.
In the previous season on Friday Sensex ended 433.56 points lower at 37,673.31. Similarly, Nifty too ended 139.25 points down at 11,174.75.
The rupee is trading at 71.083 against the dollar.
