Mumbai: Sensex scaled all-time high at 40,392.22 points in intra-day trade today surpassing a record high of 40,312 points hit in the month of June. Sensex closed on October 31, 2019, at 77.18 points higher at 40,129.05. Similarly, Nifty ended 33.35 points up at 11,877.45.
Yes Bank, Zee Entertainment, SBI, Infosys, Tata Motors, HCL Tech were among the top gainers today. Shares of Yes Bank surged as much as 35 per cent.
Jsw Steel, Tata Steel, Tech Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Mahindra & Mahindra, HDFC Bank were among the top losers today.
In the previous season on Wednesday, Sensex closed at 220.03 points higher at 40,051.87. Similarly, Nifty ended 57.25 points up at 11,844.10.
The rupee is trading at 70.995 against the dollar.
