Mumbai: Sensex today on Tuesday was trading 41.28 points lower at 40,260.68, while NSE Nifty slipped 13.60 points at 11,927.70 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:13 am, Sensex was trading at 40,311 points, and Nifty was trading at 11,942 points.
Yes Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, SBI, Bajaj Finance and Bajaj Auto were among the top gainers. Sun Pharma, TCS, Kotak Bank, Infosys, Tata Steel and HUL were among the top losers.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 4 paise against the US dollar to trade at 70.73 in early session.
