Budaun: Uttar Pradesh government has approved the proposal of five sugar mills including Shekhupur sugar mill from the region for expansion of their capacity.
The expansion proposal of the mill was pending from many years, and now the mill will initiate expansion work. Sugar mill will commence new sugarcane crushing season from today. The general manager of the sugar mill claimed to provide better facilities to the sugarcane farmers. Sugar mill aims to crush 15 lakh quintal sugarcane with a recovery rate of 9 per cent.
According to the reports published in Jagran newspaper, along with Shekhupur mill, Ghosi, Satha, Sultanpur and Kayamganj mills will also be expanded.
