Mumbai: Indian markets registered new milestones today with Sensex hitting new intra-day and closing highs, tracking higher global markets.
Sensex closed on November 25, 2019, at 529.82 points higher at 40,889.23. Similarly, Nifty ended 159.35 points up at 12,073.75.
Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel, Tata Steel, Hindalco Industries and Grasim Industries were among the top gainers today on Nifty. While Zee Entertainment, ONGC, Yes Bank, BPCL and GAIL were among the top losers today.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on November 22, 2019, at 215.76 points lower at 40,359.41. Similarly, Nifty ended 54 points down at 11,914.40.
The rupee is trading at 71.710 against the dollar.
