Mumbai: Sensex on Thursday was trading 84.17 points higher at 40,934.46, while NSE Nifty was up 21.95 points at 12,065.15 in morning trade.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 40,936.41 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,062.85 points.
ICICI Bank, RIL, Zee Ent, Tata Motors and UltraTech Cement are among the top gainers.
Bharti Airtel, HDFC AMC, HUDCO, BPCL, Sun Pharma, Asian Paints and HDFC are among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the Indian rupee was trading flat at 71.53 in opening deals.
