Mumbai: Sensex today on December 27 was trading 161.85 points higher at 41,325.61. Similarly Nifty was trading 57.70 points up at 12,184.25.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,358.00 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,183.40 points.
SBI, PowerGrid, Axis Bank, Bharti Airtel, Reliance Industries (RIL), Maruti and HDFC twins were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. TCS, Tata Steel, HUL, HCL Tech, Bajaj Auto and Tech Mahindra were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 5 paise to 71.25 against the US dollar in morning session.
