Mumbai: Sensex today on December 31 was trading 108.21 points lower at 41,449.79. Similarly Nifty was trading 28.10 points down at 12,227.75.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,401.46 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,210.65 points.
Axis Bank, Sun Pharma, Ultratech Cement, HUL, ITC and SBI were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. Tech Mahindra, Hero MotoCorp, IndusInd Bank, Mahindra and Mahindra, ICICI Bank and HDFC twins were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 4 paise to 71.27 against the US dollar in morning session.
