Mumbai: Sensex today on January 2 was trading 125.84 points higher at 41,431.86. Similarly Nifty was trading 46.55 points up at 12,229.05.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,429.78 points, and Nifty was trading at 12,220.15 points.
Tata Steel, UltraTech Cement, IndusInd Bank, Bharti Airtel, Bajaj Auto and Reliance Industries were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. Titan, NTPC, PowerGrid, Asian Paints and Mahindra and Mahindra were among the top losers today.
On the currency front, the rupee depreciated 9 paise to 71.31 against the US dollar in morning session.
