Mumbai: Benchmark indices ended at record closing high on January 13 as Nifty managed to hold 12,300 level.
Sensex closed on January 13 at 259.97 points higher at 41,859.69. Similarly, Nifty ended 72.75 points up at 12,329.55.
Infosys, IndusInd Bank, Coal India, GAIL and Bharti Airtel were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers include Yes Bank, Bharti Infratel, UPL, TCS and Eicher Motors.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 10 at 147.37 points higher at 41,599.72. Similarly, Nifty ended 40.90 points up at 12,256.80.
The rupee is trading at 71.037 against the dollar.
