Mumbai: The stock market of India dipped ahead of the US-China trade deal scheduled today.
Sensex closed on January 15 at 79.90 points lower at 41,872.73. Similarly, Nifty ended 19.00 points low at 12,343.30.
Yes Bank, Hero MotoCorp, Tata Motors, Titan, and GAIL were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers include IndusInd Bank, Wipro, SBI, Infosys, and BPCL.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on January 14 at 92.94 points higher at 41,952.63 to hit new record high. Similarly, Nifty ended 32.75 points up at 12,362.30 to touch a new all-time high.
The rupee is trading at 70.863 against the dollar.
