Mumbai: Sensex closed on January 23 at 271.02 points higher at 41,386.40. Similarly, Nifty ended 73.45 points up at 12,180.35.
Yes Bank, IOC, L&T, GAIL and BPCL were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Zee Entertainment, UPL, Power Grid, Cipla and Tech Mahindra.
Sensex closed on January 22, 2020 at 208.43 points lower at 41,115.38. Similarly, Nifty ended 62.95 points down at 12,106.90.
The rupee is trading at 71.275 against the dollar.
