Mumbai: Sensex today on January 28 was trading 97.09 points higher at 41,252.21. Similarly NSE Nifty was trading 29.20 points up at 12,148.20.
Similarly, at 10:15 am, Sensex was trading at 41,184.54 points, whereas Nifty was trading at 12,122.85.
HDFC, Hero MotoCorp, M&M, Maruti, Sun Pharma, SBI, Bajaj Auto and HDFC Bank were the top gainer in the Sensex pack. On the other hand, PowerGrid, Nestle India, Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, HCL Tech, NTPC and HUL were among the top losers.
On the currency front, the rupee appreciated 5 paise to 71.38 against the US dollar in morning session.
