Prices of medium sugar recovered modestly at the Vashi wholesale market here today following renewed demand from stockists and retailers.
While small sugar prices ended on a mixed trend owing to alternate bouts of buying and selling.
Medium sugar (S-30) prices gained by Rs 2/7 per quintal to Rs 3,302/3,532 from Monday’s closing level of Rs 3,300/3,525.
Small sugar (S-30) quoted at Rs 3,212/3,282 as against Rs 3,190/3,392 yesterday.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,212/3,282 (Rs 3,190/3,392).
Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,302/3,532 (Rs 3,300/3,525).
