Rajasthan government decides to manufacture hand sanitisers to ensure there is no shortage

Jaipur: Amid a shortage of hand sanitizers and black marketing of the essential commodity, the Rajasthan government has decided to manufacture hand sanitizers to ensure that there will not be any scarcity in the next few months.

According to the media reports, the state has issued orders to four private companies along with all units of Ganganagar sugar mills to commence the production. The government has issued license to all of them.

According to the government official, “The sanitizers are not only in high demand but people are hoarding them. Increasing in production will help in ensuring that the sanitizers are available to everyone at a subsidised rate.”

According to the orders issued by the finance department, five liquor manufacturing units of Rajasthan State Ganganagar Sugar Mills have been issued licences to start production of sanitizers in Jhotwara (Jaipur), Mandore (Jodhpur), Kota, Udaipur and Hanumangarh.
